What happens when you begin painting a bed set based on an idea you found on Pinterest? That’s right…you end up with a completely different piece of art. The great part of messing up is that you can let your 3 year old help you fix the problem and in return he gets a room he thinks is “Totally Cool.” So glad he likes it
I am pretty sure that most people have different visions of what a stay-at-home mom does all day. Well, I am here to say that between the facebook and soap operas, on a typical day I actually bake 3 dozen sugar cookies, make teacher gifts, make candy for my classes Christmas party, make dispicable me cupcakes for my oldest’s classroom birthday celebration, cook fried pork chops for dinner, fold three loads of laundry and put them away, clean up all the toys, bathe two boys, teach my children home-school, and I almost forgot, prepare to teach the 5th Graders at the Co-op Tuesday and Thursday each week. Ps. I am also blogging my day!
First Sugar Cookies – this is a great recipe. I made these for Andrew’s class Christmas party coming up Thursday. They are going to ice them!
Next up Despicable Me Cupcakes for Andrew’s Birthday Party! This is one of those pinterest ideas that you are not quite sure you can pull off. I think they turned out pretty cute (but they are by no means as perfect as the ones on pinterest!) Also, twinkies are nearly $5.00 a pack..Really?
A few more pics to show just how much a homemaker does in a day!
1 Package of Oreo Cookies
1 Package of Cream Cheese
Chocolate for Melting
Crumble an entire bag of oreos. I like to put mine in a zip-loc bag and pound. Then mix with room temperature cream cheese block. Stick the bowl in the fridge for an hour. Roll into balls and dip in chocolate!
As if we need another recipe for boiled eggs, Right? Today on my facebook one of my aunts shared a recipe for getting great hard-boiled eggs. Since I am trying, again, to get rid of the gluten in my life, I am all in to hard boiled eggs. So, I gave it a try. I can tell you, hands down, the best way to boil eggs. It was super easy! I put them in the oven while I was teaching my son! You must try this recipe.
