Amazing views

The last few days the boys have been with Nana and Papa.  While we love hiking with the boys, and they do quite well climbing up the hills, we have certainly enjoyed our 2 hour hikes by ourselves!  We can hike for hours right behind our house.  Tonight we discovered that we can hike all the way to the cross.

 I admit, I broke a pretty good sweat, and it reminded me of all those snow stories our parents use to tell.  When we were kids we walked up hill both ways and through the snow.  (ummm, we grew up in Texas.  That’s really ice!)  Needless to say, it was a wonderful time to reflect.

Yes that is me sporting my sons TMNT hat!  The ears can get a little chilly while hiking!!  It was a beautiful 65 degrees in Boise, Id.

Testing Products

Advocare 24 Day Challenge

ADVOCARE: I got a really great deal on the 24 Day Challenge so I decided to give it a try.  Thank you to Kenda Lemons.  If you would like to order let me know.

Day 1:

First day without coffee!  I made it.  I didn’t even miss it.  I don’t want to give up coffee for life.  I love sitting on the porch with Will and drinking 3 (yes, I said 3) cups of coffee and chatting about our day!  But, I want to try it for a while.  Mom and dad took the kids for a couple of days so we enjoyed an hour uphill climb in the mountains behind our house.  We may be paying two house payments right now, but I know God will take care of us.  This view from my bed is nothing short of God’s creation.  As far as eating, I followed the plan they include which means about 6 small meals.

So how did I feel at the end of the day.  Honesty, I feel great.  I feel motivated.  I will keep you all up to date on my progress.

 

ArbonneARBONNE:  A friend from high school sent me some samples in the mail of Arbonne.  Thank you Wendy VanFleet.  Her website is www.wendyvanfleet.myarbonne.com .   I have heard many great things about Arbonne.  I suffer from severe psoriasis and rosacea.  I believe the rosacea has been caused by some of the medicine I take for my psoriasis.  I started yesterday using the daily skin care regime that Wendy sent me.  I will up-date you in a few days on my results!

Workouts Don’t Work

Cardio InsanityI have been there.  So, don’t get me wrong, working out will help your overall health, but it will not make you lose weight.  Try working out every day for 90 days.  Do it, but do not change the way you eat. In 90 days see where you are at.   As a former Fat person (and a little over my goal weight right now),  I can, in my own opinion, and through trials say that you can diet for 90 days, not workout, and lose quite a bit of weight.  However, the reverse does not imply!

I know what you are thinking.  I could have saved you so much money years ago.  Here is my advice (again not licensed)…Eat 1200-1500 calories a day for 3 months. You do not have to work out.  You will lose weight.

Now, I am going to post a video.  I know, ummm contradiction, well, not exactly.  I am posting a video I did this morning for fun.  A video to rev up my mind, get me sweating and get me thinking about what I am eating.  And, it worked.  I sweated. I nearly threw up, and then it happened, I realized working out is much harder than eating right.  So, if I do them both, double whammy…But, I know that my diet has to change.  Working out does not make me lose weight!

I do have a bit of advice for those of you who really want or need to lose a bunch of weight.  DO NOT join a gym.  Order a food program, stick to it for a few months without cheating and you will lose weight.  The problem with gyms is they do not get at the core of the issue.  You have to change your diet. Period!  Walk a little bit for health, but do not workout.

For those of you who are at a plateau, or maybe only have 20 or fewer pounds to lose then sweat a few days a week.  This FREE Video will do the trick!  Enjoy
