Kindergarten Ready
We are getting ready for our first to enter kindergarten. Yesterday we received his backpack in the mail. We decided to get the matching socks as well. He didn’t know we got the socks. We are trying to prepare our son. He is a little more reserved and keeps telling us he doesn’t want to go. We still have to drag him, kicking and screaming, into his class at church. It used to bother me, to think of what everyone must be thinking of me, but after 5 years, I have grown thicker skin. Now, when my kids scream through the store or when they have to do something uncomfortable, I talk it through with them, but there are times where I walk through the store saying….Son, momma doesn’t get embarrassed. I don’t know these people, scream away, only embarrassing yourself! I really don’t even notice the people around me staring! But, for Andrew, this is another season of challenge for him. He is such a smart and handsome young man. It makes me happy to see him dressing up and pretending he is going to school. I know it will be hard but batman is ready. The Batman backpack has a cape!! Thank you to everyone on face-book(Kristi we went for it) for your tips and ideas. Hopefully Batman is Bat-ready come August…Oh and Bryce is Bat-bear as well.
