Praying together

A few days ago I received an email from an ex student of mine. She asked me how to get her spouse to pray with her. I took a full day before answering her. I was very touched that she had reached out to Lil ole me to give her insights, but at the same time, I was actually afraid and unsure what to tell her. I could just say that praying together equals staying together. Praying together build a closer bond with one another. Praying together puts God front and center. Praying together will make for a more successful marriage.
Today I received an email from a blog that I read almost daily. In it were the 19 tips for a successful marriage. I highly recommend taking a look at Pastor Kevin’s blog Shooting the Breeze. Among the 19 tips was # 11 PRAY TOGETHER. I also include Pray together as one of my 10 Tips to a Better Marriage from a previous post.
Take a look at the prayer guide he included….Click here! Each day it gives you as a couple things to pray about. I feel that this guide can be a very useful tool. If you are afraid to pray with your spouse, then I would recommend giving this a try. If you are still unsure what your spouse will say or how they will feel, then pray for your spouse. Ask God to open your spouses heart and mind. Pray that your spouse will see how important this is to you.
Pray together. It saved our marriage, strengthened our marriage and continues to be the one constant that we can control and we can do daily.
Be Blessed and Pray,

I would love to be able to pray with my husband. But so far I only get to pray for him. But I’ll keep on praying.
Blessings and love,
Debbie

Thank you Debbie. I pray that your prayers get answered! Blessings
